Debt Buster Discounted Training Programs
One of the biggest detriments to a student undergoing and completing flight training at any flight school is funding of their aircraft rental and flight training cost associated with it. There are many finance companies such as Sallie Mae, AOPA, and such other currently offering flight training financing to domestic students and such financing comes with fixed or variable interest rates which is a viable option to pursue a career while assuming a massive student debt obligation.
For example, a student borrowing approximately $104,000.00 from a private financing institution may end up paying back anywhere between 200k to 350K in debt obligation which including principal in interest payable over the lifetime of the loan at a very popular and heavily advertised pilot mill in the United States and supported by secondary market institutional investors. Moreover, students often require co-signers to cosign for a loan at an institution where money is the motivation and churning substandard licensed pilots in the shortest possible time is the goal, often with reckless disregard for quality of training and adverse impact upon students financially, physiologically and psychologically.
On the other hand, we at OCFC are finding ways to maintain a quality and structured training and assist students to complete their flight training with minimal cost while permitting other viable financing options to participating students. Students at OCFC may PAY AS THEY GO while participating at flight training maintaining a minimum balance of $500.00 to keep their account active OR participate in DEBT BUSTER PROGRAM presented here.
Committed students participate in making affordable multiple payments to complete their flight training under Part 141 or Part 61 at a heavily discounted rate and minimum possible time and without assuming or amassing a student debt obligation, a chronic issue and a problem that student currently face in the United States. At OCFC excellence is a standard and flight safety comes first and we support debt free participation in flight training programs by introducing the DEBT BUSTER DISCOUNTED PROGRAMS stated below.
Participation in the E-programs (E-1 through E-8) is specifically designed to prevent student debt and as such MUST BE SELF FINANCED AND cannot be financed by any form of outside institutional financing. Payments under this program MUST BE MADE by check, cash, ACH or debit cards only. OCFC will accept credit card payment under this program for an additional surcharge of 2.5% as deemed cost of processing.
Debt-Buster Discounted Pilot Training Programs
FINANCING NOT PERMITTED
E1 – Accelerated & Discounted Private Pilot Flight Training Program is a 65-hour flight training program that includes 65 hours of actual flight time comprising of 55 hours of dual instruction and 10 hours solo, 35 hours of pre and post ground school, 30 hours of simulator time and unlimited library hours. Under this program students are expected to be committed to complete their Private Pilot Program and obtain their Private Pilot’s License within six (6) months. The flight training cost is heavily discounted and payments can be made in lumpsum or in seven payments as follows:
***Lumpsum Payment: $17,000.00 OR a down payment of $2500.00 plus seven payments of $2286.00 each for a total of $18,500.
E2 – Accelerated & Discounted Instrument Rating is a 47-hour training program that includes 26 hours of flight time and 21 hours in a simulator comprising of 47 hours of dual instruction and 22 hours of pre & post flight briefing. The flight training cost is heavily discounted and payments can be made in lumpsum or in four payments as follows:
***Lumpsum payment: $10,800.00 OR a down payment of $2500.00 plus four payments of $2375.00 each for a total of $12,000.
E3 – Accelerated & Discounted Commercial Pilot Rating is a 57.5 hours of dual flight training plus 35 hours of ground training and 26.3 hours of pre & post flight briefing. Solo time-building flight hours of 62.5 hours are not included and aircraft rental is heavily discounted at $180/hr. The flight training cost is heavily discounted and payments can be made in lumpsum or in four payments as follows:
***Lumpsum payment: $17,000.00 OR a down payment of $2500.00 plus eight payments of $2250.00 each. Time building for any period is not included.
E4 – Accelerated & Discounted Certified Flight Instructor Rating is a 27 -hour training program that includes 27 hours of flight time and comprising of 21 hours of dual instruction plus 63 hours of pre & post flight briefing. The flight training cost is heavily discounted and payments can be made in lumpsum or in four payments as follows:
***Lumpsum payment: $11,500.00 OR a down payment of $2500.00 plus five payments of $2060.00 each for a total of $12,800.

E5 – Accelerated & Discounted Certified Flight Instructor with Instrument Rating is a 27-hour training program that includes 15 hours of flight time of which and comprising of 15 hours of dual instruction plus 4 hours of pre & post flight briefing. The flight training cost is heavily discounted and payments can be made in lumpsum or in four payments as follows:
***Lumpsum payment: $3500.00 OR a down payment of $1765.00 plus three payments of $1000.00 each for a total of $4765.00.
E6 – Accelerated & Discounted Airline Pilot Program (Does not include program E-5)
This program provides an accelerated program to prospective candidates aspiring to join the airlines as a career Airline Pilot. This program includes Part 141 approved courses and includes Private Pilot Program, Instrument Rating, Commercial Pilot Rating and Certified Flight instructor program. Candidates successfully completing this program will be eligible to be gainfully employed at OCFC as a Certified flight instructor and also obtain the hours required to be qualified to be eligible and apply to be an airline pilot. The flight training cost is heavily discounted and payments can be made in lumpsum or in twenty-one payments as follows:
***Lumpsum payment: $55,000.00 OR a down payment of $2500.00 plus twenty-four payments of $2500.00 and one last payment of $200 for a total of $62,700.00.
E7 – Accelerated and discounted Multi-Engine Rating to Commercial is a 22 hours of dual flight training plus 18 hours of pre & post flight briefing. The flight training in a multi-engine aircraft is heavily discounted and payments can be made in lumpsum or in four payments as follows:
*** Lumpsum payment: $10,000.00 OR a down payment of $2500.00 plus four payments of 2500.00 and for a total of 12,500.00.
E8 – ALL INCLUSIVE-Accelerated and Discounted Flight Training Program from Private Pilot through Multi-Engine rating will include Programs E-1, E-2, E-3, E-4, E-5, AND E-7 as is described above will be provided at a flight training cost which is heavily discounted and payments can be made in lumpsum or in installment payments as follows:
*** Lumpsum payment: $65,000.00 OR a down payment of $2500.00 plus twenty-seven payments of 2500.00 for a total of $70,000.00 for the entire program.
*Training Aircraft include Cessna 172 N, M, and SP models only. While actual training time cannot be predicted for any particular student, a student enrolled under Rate Sheet E1-E3 above exceeding the aircraft/instruction hour limitation will pay additional hourly rate for aircraft and instruction prescribed in Rate Sheet ‘A’. No refunds whatsoever. Convenience fee of 2.5% will be added for ALL credit card transactions. ALL cash transactions will be entitled to and receive a 2.5% discount.
While actual training time cannot be predicted for any particular student, a student exceeding the aircraft/instruction hour limitation will pay additional hourly rate for aircraft and instruction prescribed in Rate Sheet ‘A’. No refunds whatsoever.
Convenience fee of 2.5% will be added for ALL credit card transactions.
***Lumpsum payment/discount is not available in the State of California.

Gainful Employment at OCFC
**While employment at OCFC is not guaranteed upon completion of flight training, a gainfully employed Certified Flight Instructor at OCFC could earn up to $ 67,000.00 as a flight instructor for 1500 hrs. of flight instruction and recover their entire cost of their flight training at OCFC to be an airline pilot.
Please Note:
In order for any student to avail of any discounts and discount credit offered, their account should be in good standing at all times, which means that the student account cannot have a negative balance at any time during the training period.
All education discounts are credited to individual accounts based upon fees actually paid and spent at the completion of 40 hours of training only. Furthermore, any discount offered by OCFC, whether written or verbal, is not an obligation but at the sole discretion of OCFC.
