- Full or partial tuition and instructional fees for VA-approved flight training programs

Tuition and Fees Coverage with the Post-9/11 GI Bill®*
The post-9/11 GI Bill®* provides eligible veterans with Tuition Assistance for the academic year to cover fees for flight training under an approved Part 141 program. Our experienced admissions team is here to help you navigate the process, maximize your benefits, and ensure your training plan complies with both VA and FAA requirements.
Books, Supplies, and Flight Materials
Veterans may also receive up to $1,000 annually through the post-9/11 GI Bill®* to assist with the cost of essential flight training materials, including books, and other supplies needed throughout your pilot training.
FAQ – Veterans Benefits: Common Questions Answered
A: Orange County Flight Center (OCFC) is approved to accept both the Post-9/11 GI Bill®* (Chapter 33) and Veteran Readiness & Employment (VR&E, Chapter 31) benefits for eligible flight training programs. To apply, you’ll need to submit a Certificate of Eligibility (COE) from the VA. Once received, you can enroll in a VA-approved Part 141 training program. Our team will assist you in navigating the application process and choosing the right path for your aviation goals.
A: OCFC is not currently a participant in the Yellow Ribbon Program. However, you can still use your Post-9/11 GI Bill®* or VR&E Chapter 31 benefits to cover a significant portion—or in many cases, the full cost—of your VA-approved flight training. Our staff can help you understand your eligibility and how to maximize your available benefits.
A: Part 141 flight training follows a structured, FAA-approved curriculum and is typically required for eligibility under VA benefits like the Post-9/11 GI Bill®* and VR&E Chapter 31. These programs offer consistent progress tracking and eligibility for more comprehensive VA
